This is the second anonymous donation to Random Scottish History and I cannot, without having you hold it, convey the quality of this book’s binding and print. I have been after this book for maybe a year and a half, my purchase was apparently lost during delivery and the seller didn’t seem keen to help me track it down. It’s beautiful, with very eye-catching gold edging and may look battered in the scans but not one scrape detracts from this publication. Its layout reminds me of ‘Select Views‘ but its wealth of information puts me in mind of ‘Old and New Edinburgh‘, with nice short chapters and plenty of illustrations that should make its upload a fairly quick process. I’ll be transferring my attentions to this book after ‘Domestic Annals‘ is complete and can’t wait.
