‘Life of Mary, Queen of Scots’ (1818)

I already have a copy of this two-volume publication, ‘The Life of Mary, Queen of Scots,’ (1822), but when I was offered this at a reduced price I couldn’t help myself. The beforementioned edition, that was used to upload the Text back in 2018, is devoid of illustrations and had to be rebound just to be able to read it. This edition, regardless of them having been published 4 years previously, are illustrated with very nice clear text on large pages, which may be age-spotted but in which the text is clear along with the fantastic illustrations.

So, the idea is to add the illustrations to the information already on the site and use the newer (older) copy of volume 2 when it comes to typing up that lot. I’ve included a couple of illustrations that fold out, as well as that of Mary’s Tomb, in the scans here but I’ll save the rest of the pictures for insertion into the chapters themselves.
