Long-time friend of Random Scottish History, Sylvain Allard, has made his first contribution to the site in the form of photo documentation of Ballindalloch Castle, of which we have little information so far uploaded. The moment I saw the pictures I knew others would enjoy them too. He managed to get a fantastic day for it and has taken in a lot of the building itself as well as the gardens.
The Laird of Ballindalloch makes an appearance in the ‘Legend of Charley Stewart Taillear-Crubach’ from Sir T. D. Lauder’s ‘Tales of the Highlands‘ (1881).
Fantastic pictures!
I’d like to be there.
Sylvain makes it look beautiful eh?
